They tend to make people communicate superficially, to project an image. Also it seems that it is easier for people to dodge the truth by using them.

because you didn't enable your "Email Communications from Yahoo! Answers".
1. go to your profile.
2. click on "edit my profile".
3. after that, scroll down to where it say's "email communications from yahoo! answers" and check on that little box where it says "email me when I receive a new answer to a question I've asked"

first you need to stop giving your email address to x-rated and singles site in the first place. how do you think they got your email address? then there should be some sort of support email address that you can write to and tell them to stop emailing you.

But for real, just get a new email address, and then in a year when it starts up again, get another new email address. Switching isn't as painful as it sounds in most cases.
Also have a free email account (gmail or yahoo) that you use to sign up for random online things, that way you never have to worry about getting that junk mail in your regular account.

If you have new mail alerts set up on the messenger then each email that comes in has a heading on it with who it's from. There is no separate notification setup for 1 specific email address, all come in the same way.

If someone promised to meet you in another country and then stops emailing, should I expect them to be there?
It has been 6 weeks since they wrote me, but they last said, when I say I am going to be somewhere I will. Should I make other plans once I arrive in France so if they are not there I am prepared? Why wouldn't someone just emial and say they changed their mind??? Confused

the most probable is that this person has chickened out and is too cowardly to let you know and has a piss poor imagination and can therefore come up with zero interesting and believable excuses. however, can you afford to be the one not at the appointed place at the appointed time? if you always do what you say you're going to do then you have your answer. you will survive disappointment, it's easier to deal with than wondering what could have been... if you get my drift.

Had to check on other windows machine to make sure got the sequence right, only to find my son had been on it and changed my home page to his. Happy surfing n mailing m8.
On top line find tools, click and then find Internet options. click.
There will be a section called home page with three buttons, use current, use default, use blank. Click on use current and it will change your home page to yahoo. Also It can be typed in here if you want That's the easy way.
Other way is to open control panel, Internet options, and type the home page address in. You can have multiple home pages if you want, details on both screen ways. Multiple home pages takes longer to load up but can be useful sometimes.

Speed-dating company thing keep emailing me and advertising. And its really annoying. How can I stop this.
I dont know why they are emailing me because i have never signed for speed-dating mainly because i am 13years old!!!!

Your getting spam :-) but since it hotmail it very hard to block them (its browser) But microsoft made a feature to block them (dont always work) but tick the message and click on "Junk" now every single message that came from that exatct address will be blocked it wont work, if they change their email address each time.
Reply:Mark it as junk and all of their emails will always go to your junk folder .

I try to email multiple contacts, I check off all the names then hit compose and yahoo brings me back to my inbox, never had that happen before. Anyone else having this issue?

The format for mailing has changed. First click on "Compose." Then click on "TO." Your address book will open for you to check names, then go to the top or bottom of the list and click on "Insert Checked Contacts." Now you can type your message and click send.

How do I ues the "BLOCK" to block someone from emailing me? They are harassing me and I want thrm to go away f?
Mail page%26gt;%26gt;options (top right)%26gt;%26gt;mail options%26gt;%26gt;block addresses (under the Spam option on the left).
Enter that exact address---click "add block".
Future emails from that address will be deleted immediately upon arriving at your account---you'll never see them. The sender is NOT notified that they have been blocked (for security purposes). They will think you are still getting their emails----HA---joke's on them.
On the other hand:
If you're talking about spam mail----blocking those addresses is mostly ineffective, cause they change their addresses with each mailing to avoid the blocks.
Just click the Spam tab on them and let Yahoo deal with them, which they do by automatically deleting the Spam folder at preset times.
