How do I tell my cube mate that constant texting/emailing on her photo is loud and distracting?Go to the boss?

I've tried standing next to her desk and asking "sorry are you in the middle of something?" commenting that "(she's) getting a lot of milage out of that data plan" etc. but she doesn't get it... do I go to the boss or ask her directly. Either way she's going to be angry and make my life even more miserable.

Some people can't take a hint. Do her a favor and be clear about what you're saying to her before you go to the boss.

While at your desk, look at her and say "excuse me Sandra but will you please talk more quietly? I need to get this done, and I can't concentrate."

I don't understand how texting and emailing can be loud %26amp; distracting.
Reply:surely she should be getting on with her work rather than texting and emailing - I guess you mean her phone not her photo otherwise I have misunderstood the question.

Perhaps a discreet word with your HR department might be helpful ask if you can be moved to another desk because of personality clash with your cube mate. When asked for more details you will just have to be honest.
Reply:there is a setting on her phone that will turn off the clicking sound. Ask her if she can perhaps do that for you as "it isn't helping your headake".

Tell her that her battery will last longer, too. If she doesn't go for it then go to the boss and explain.
Reply:Like what julie said.

be foward with her, if you don't, she will continue.
