How do you make a PDF document read only before emailing it?

We tried what we thought would make the PDF printable only but the person we emailed it to was able to go in %26amp; modify it (they have Adobe writer %26amp; reader) How do we keep this from happening?
How do you make a PDF document read only before emailing it?
well it would help if you told us what you tryed, i assume it was either by properties or the settings in acrobat writer

incase you missed it you can right click the file, click properties and read only, however that is somewhat a temporary measure as it is easy enough to click it from the other side.

otherwise you can under acrobat 8 at least change the security settings by clicking document--%26gt; security and you should have a checklist. i don't use PDF much but i assume that the settings there will be able to make print/read only

after making the security changes it should ask you for a password and confirmation.

good luck and if you have any questions please email me
