Can someone share with me any experience they have with email marketing?bulk emailing to advertise?

I tried expressbulk once. They claim to send your message out to millions of their own network under their name for cheap and I tried it an got nothing so I will never use a 3rd party bulk emailer like them again. The best way is to build a targeted list of opt-in emails yourself and market to them via http://www.constantcontact.com which is an online bulk email service provider who you control from your name. They are reasonably priced and many smaller and some larger businesses also use them. If u choose to use a third party service to gather your email leads, make sure you google them using %26lt;company name%26gt; + spam or scam and see if there are any results. http://www.getresponse.com/email-marketi... seems to be the most reputable for getting targeted opt-in lists but constantcontact.com is a better online emailer.

As far as crafting and sending the actual emails, keep the titles to two or three words and make them very appealing and more people will open them.

Take a look at this site for some really handy advice on all things e-marketing:

My advice would be try to build your own data as much as possible and always think about trying to offer the recipient something of value. Report Abuse

Reply:E-mail marketing is much more successful when you have an opt-in list (a list cultivated by your company) versus a list you buy from a mailing list company.

General rule of thumb for e-mail marketing is that around 10% of people who receive your e-mail will open, with a percentage of around 10% of those people clicking a link included in the e-mail. Small lists have a higher engagement rate because of the niche interest factor, large lists have less engagement because there are more broad subscribers.

How you use your e-mail marketing program also has an effect on the engagement of your consumers. If you send timely special offers, your engagement should be good. If you are infrequent in your messaginge, your engagement will be low.

A lot of factors to go on, here. Hope I could be of some help.
Reply:My friend just said that he has some experience with a rented list, which i don't have.I have experience with email blasters, blogposters and many email senders, which i think are proving useless. Nobody likes unwanted messages. I do agree that if you have your own list, maybe then those guys will open your messages and maybe buy something or register. I have good experience with Google and Yahoo ppc.

Oh! and also this one mate:

trafficdigger.com/user/Jkewi1

This one above is viral advertising and it really works!

The bottom one of the two above can increase your HITs and traffic to your website by 1000 hits per week if you ACTUALLY do it.

Ive made alot of money through it, $6,748 so far, and thats after 2 months only
Reply:I have had tremendous rates of increase of exposure and profit when it comes to email marketing. But I saw the difference when I switched from rented list to creating my own pool of fish with my own opt-in email list.
