How can i block someone from emailing me due to harrassment and rudeness?

there is one person that i would like to block so that he cannot send emails to me or IM me at any time.

You got good advise on how to block a user. Here's one more thing you could and should do: report the user for stalking/harrassing to: y_answrs_team@yahoo.com (the missing e is intentional), be sure to include original mails and also supply a link to his profile. Yahoo will take appropiate action, and if it's really bad, the user may loose his account!
Reply:Got to his / her profile and click for the Block This User option, or just report this person to Yahoo Answers, find his Q? and A! and report him for ranting against you.


If e-mail only, click on Spam button once you checked box his message.
Reply:Do the folowing:


1. Note the email address of the spammer.


2. Copy it on notepad.


3. In yahoomail, click on options on the top right corner.


4. Click on Block addresses once the options page opens.


5. Paste the email address of the spammer in the box provided.


6. Click on block address.


7. After this all messages marked as spam will go in to your bulk folder.





And if you dont want the spam messages to go in to your bulk folder do the folowing.


1. In yahoomail, click on options on the top right corner.


2. Click on Spam Protection once the options page opens.


3. On the Spam Filter Tab mark Immediately delete these messages upon receipt.





Report such a mail to:

Federal Trade Commission spam@uce.gov


Treasury Department 419.fcd@usss.treas.gov
Reply:Mark him/her as spam.
Reply:or click on his/her picture and hit the block button. I think its bad that we can not directly send this stuff to yahoo.

Reply:Go to yahoo.com and log in, then click Mail. Click on 'Options', which can be found in the upper right corner of the screen. On the left column under the section 'Spam' click the second one, which is 'Block Addresses' and type the harrassers email address in the box provided. Click 'Add Block' and the harrasser should be blocked. Hope I helped, and good luck. :)
